Fuck
I really wish I could just go a couple nights without feeling so paranoid that I’m unable to sleep. This is not okay.

New books
Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Precious Little Life, by Bryan Lee O’Malley The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian, by Sherman Alexie I Am the Messenger, by Markus Zusak Be More Chill, by Ned Vizzini Behemoth, by Scott Westerfield I am especially excited to read I Am the Messenger, because it’s by the same man who wrote The Book Thief, which was an absolutely beautiful book. I...

Bemused
–adjective 1. bewildered or confused 2. lost in thought; preoccupied It is not a synonym for amused. The two have nothing to do with each other. People need to learn this.

Grumble grumble
I really dislike days where I wake up feeling particularly androgynous, because it’s always such a hassle putting together an outfit with just the right mix of girly and boyish that falls right in that nice middle area. I always end up with a pile of discarded clothes on my bed and I’m almost never satisfied with the finished product. It’s not that I care about what other people...

illthinkofitlater: confidential: sciencetodo: A quick run-down should you ever find yourself trapped in a horror movie and would prefer to live to tell the tale. 1. Don’t have sex. Seriously Abstinence is key. 2. Don’t go out with people you’ve just met that day. I don’t care how good he says his weed is he is cuckoo bananas … There is actually a whole book like this: How to...

thatquietkid replied to your post: Horror movie setting I wouldn’t worry about Zombie Bears. The real fear is if your cabin gets snowed in and at one point YOU’LL HAVE TO START EATING EACH OTHER TO SURVIVE. But I’m sure that won’t happen! Have fun! Haha, well, apparently we have enough food to last us a few more days. If we can’t make it out of the neighborhood by then… Well, at...

Horror movie setting
Some family people and I are currently up at my dad’s cabin in Blairsville. There’s about a foot of snow outside, it’s still snowing, and right now there’s little chance of making it out on the roads around here. There may or may not be zombies/bears/zombie bears/crazy rednecks with a penchant for cannibalism afoot.

netjamjr asked: Thank you very much. It is such a lovely work. It's always really stuck with me, and I just really rather wished to read it again.

The story is really just incredibly beautiful thematically.

Would it be alright if I saved it for personal use--that I might read it again many times in the future?

Saw Tron with Erin tonight
It was really really good and the effects were beautiful, though I think Erin is forever miserable because the Tron world does not really exist.

confidential replied to your post: Book stuff Speaking of books, I ought to have The Child Thief and The Ask and the Answer (the sequel to The Knife of Never Letting Go) sometime after the holidays. If we hang out for New Years, I can give them to you then. That would be quite nice. I finally managed to finish The Knife of Never Letting Go, though it took me a couple days to pick it up again...

Book stuff
So, a couple weeks ago, I finished a book called The Last Man by Mary Shelley. A couple people on here know that I was very excited to find/read. I read Frankstein last year and enjoyed it immensely. The Last Man was just as good, if not better. I’m pretty sure you guys fail to comprehend how much I adore this woman’s writing. She uses the most exquisite language without seeming...
